Dawn Smith has 20 years of healthcare expertise specializing in physician and executive recruitment, hospital operations, and telemedicine. Prior to joining Convergence, Dawn has held a wide range of healthcare management positions. She was the system manager of physician recruitment for Tenet Healthcare, headquartered in Dallas, TX, and served as a medical specialties manager for Ochsner Medical Center (New Orleans). There, she managed a diverse portfolio of services ranging from dermatology/MOHS surgery, infectious disease, infusion, imaging services, endocrinology, and nutrition/diabetes education. She then went on to work as the director of client success for SOC Telemed, the largest acute care telemedicine company in the U.S.

During her time at Ochsner, Dawn helped to design and implement one of the first telemedicine clinics in the form of a telewound care clinic to remove time and transportation constraints for those with chronic wounds. This led to several other projects working within multidisciplinary teams to create programs such as a migraine headache fast track clinic and post-transplant infusion program, all aimed at improving quality of care, access to care, and reducing costs. At SOC Telemed, Dawn had the pleasure of working with different healthcare systems across the nation to help optimize door-to-needle times in stroke patients, achieve advanced stroke certifications, and assist with the implementation and transition to Tenecteplase administration.

Dawn holds an executive MBA from Tulane University and is a Lean Six Sigma Certified Green Belt.
